"So don't say you hate us and then sing our songs..."
Apart from being a great pop song with some really hooky, syncopated guitar stuff going on, this is a facinating reflection by the band (and their writers) about how their music is received.
I've liked plenty of their songs, but there's a genius in the honesty in their (and their writers) lyrics which I'd love to be able to do.
The only problem is then to counter balance it they throw a really stupid line in at the end of the chrous; "Dancing on the kitchen tiles"- It's All about you & "We all look the same in the dark" - Here's Another Song For The Radio.
Thanks for the reminder, I've been meaning to put their new album in my cd player and give it a spin.
ReplyDeleteI totally agree, McFly are a great pop band, they do exactly what it says on the tin. Kudos to them.
