I've had a really sore throat for 5 days, can you help?
Nope, that's not a really poor build to a joke, it's what I did today. I have a viral throat infection and I'm signed of work for a week! A whole week! (well, we'll see)
As it's a viral thing there's not much I can do but rest and gargle aspirin to keep the swelling down. It's really does hurt a lot; it's not a normal sore throat and it's not man flu (I've even had sympathy from my wife!) I have actually been trying to avoid swallowing.
I'm not looking forward to missing time at work; I actually like my job! So I suppose that's good then!
That's well cool! (not that your ill obviously) but that you like your job that much. I'd love to have a job I love.
