As some of you will know, Oak Grove Chapel is relocating later in the year, and I'm involved in the Sound Reinforcement design.
I'm looking at incorporating the most appropriate technology in order to create a simple and effective system, that has many of the usual problems 'designed out' of it.
To that end I'm looking at using 'Line Array' for the front of house system (a subject I can bore for England on(and I mean Line Array, not 'Curvilinear Array')) instead of 'Point Source' and possibly transferring over to digital mixing and processing. In Norwich I am only aware of two churches using Line Array, one has burnt down and one is not using a full array. As for digital mixing, I only know of one, and I'm not sure how much experience they have of using the sort of size desk I'm looking at.
So, this is a shout out for anyone who is, or knows someone who is, using digital mixing for live sound reinforcement, to get in touch and share their experience.
To get in touch, you can either leave a coment on my blog, or email me on the address at the top of the side bar.
Thanks in advance.
I'm going to tag this in blogger and technorati and see what happens.....
