Assaulted by Church?

Have you ever felt assaulted by church? Like you'd been mugged?

I think that's what I feel right now. Not that it's malicious, but it's worth remembering, for those of us leading services, that not everyone is running at the same speed as you and that if they're not then they can find it hard to get back on board with where you're going.

I don't just mean those who miss a week, but those who come in and out of the service (chirldrens workers etc)

Ever felt like this?

Post up in the comments please, I'd be really interested to know.

It is really good to step back and see things from another perspective sometimes...

  2. I'm not quite clear on what you mean - I realise therefore that that could mean I may not have experienced it...

...but I do often feel like I'm not on the same wavelength, and that it's damaging to me because stuff's not experienced by me in the same way as it may have been if I was on the same wavelength - and so I leave feeling awful with no hope. But that could just be me and my stuff. Not sure if I'm making sense.

Need some details regarding the mugged feeling. I wanna make sure that I respond in the context you are referring to.
